After an in depth phone call with my supervisor during the week I feel that I am more on track with what I'm doing and now going in the right direction (not that I wasn't before of course). I have had quite a busy week so far. I have;

- Contacted my 2 professional cyclists who are taking part in the podcast and a 'newbie' cyclist who will not be named for confidentiality reasons who will be referred to as 'Jo' during my podcast and contextualisation. When I was reading over my mind maps that I have created in the previous week I noticed that my podcast was sounding as if it was aimed at professionals only. Which it is not so I got in contact with a lovely woman who has recently started using cycling as her method of release. Her story was so interesting to hear that I felt it would be ideal to have her talk about her experiences as this may encourage another new start like herself to just go out and start cycling. I have wrote up some questions that I would like all 3 cyclists to answer and I am in the process of arranging individual 'Zoom' meetings to record their answers which will hopefully happen some point in the next week.

- I have come in contact with an old friend from high school who has his own recording studio so I have managed to bag myself some space in his studio to record the podcast to a more professional level. Having high quality sound in a podcast is essential!

- Roughly drafted out a script and cue cards for the podcast to help me keep in the flow of things during recording.

- Started a 1st draft of my contextualisation. I wanted to get most of the podcast pre-production work done first so I could spend more time in the coming weeks on the written piece. I have wrote out key words and areas that I will talk about which will keep me on the right path to what I am writing about. I have set out deadlines to reach certain amounts of words each week but I know myself sometimes that this isn't always the best way but I am just trying to keep myself motivated.

Below you will see a more in depth excel spread sheet that I have drafted out which to me is do-able. I am aware the deadline is not until the start of August but I hate leaving things till last minute so I would rather get things done sooner so I can go back and re-draft, re-draft, re-draft!
